kbuild: fix CROSS_COMPILE settings in config.mk The syntax CROSS_COMIPLE ?= <cross_compiler_prefix> does not work because config.mk is parsed after exporting CROSS_COMPILE. Make STANDALONE_LOAD_ADDR configurable per board Rename STANDALONE_LOAD_ADDR into CONFIG_STANDALONE_LOAD_ADDR and allow that the architecture-specific default value gets overwritten by defining the value in the board header file. push LOAD_ADDR out to arch mk files Rather than maintain/extend the current ifeq($(ARCH)) mess that exists in the standalone Makefile, push the setting up of LOAD_ADDR out to the arch config.mk (and rename to STANDALONE_LOAD_ADDR in the process). AVR32: Build position-independent u-boot Add -fPIC -mno-init-got to the avr32-specific CFLAGS to make u-boot position independent. This will make relocation a lot easier. -mno-init-got means that gcc shouldn't emit code to load the GOT address into r6 in every function prologue. We do it once and for all in the early startup assembly code, so enabling this option makes u-boot a bit faster and smaller. The assembly parts have always been position-independent, so no code changes should be necessary. avr32: fix linking This patch fixes following error: ---8<--- avr32-linux-ld: --gc-sections and -r may not be used together --->8--- Since 8aba9dceebb14144e07d19593111ee3a999c37fc all avr32 boards are broken due to linking error as seen above.
