Commit 7a777f6d6f ("mmc: Add generic Kconfig option") created
a Kconfig entry for this option without any actual moves, then
commit 44c798799f ("sunxi: Use Kconfig CONFIG_MMC") moved
instances only for SUNXI.
We generally do not like such partial moves. This kind of work
is automated by tools/moveconfig.py, so it is pretty easy to
complete this move.
I am adding "default ARM || PPC || SANDBOX" (suggested by Tom).
This shortens the configs and will ease new board porting.
This commit was created as follows:
[1] Edit Kconfig (remove the "depends on", add the "default",
copy the prompt and help message from Linux)
[2] Run 'tools/moveconfig.py -y -s -r HEAD MMC'

The configuration used to error correction was not in line with what
linux and the ROM code is using. Fix it by using the correct
configuration. Now u-boot and the SPL are able to read correctly
anything written by them.

The LCDC controller on the lcdk board has high memory throughput
requirements. Even with the kernel-side tweaks to master peripheral
and peripheral bus burst priorities, the default PLL0 frquency of
300 MHz is not enough to service the LCD controller and causes
DMA FIFO underflows.
Increment the PLL0 multiplier to 37, resulting in PLL0 frequency of
456 MHz - the same value that downstream reference u-boot from Texas
Instruments uses.

NAND SPL boot was missing. Add it. The README specific to omapl138-lcdk
is also removed because its content does not apply anymore, i.e. the
generated AIS image can be flashed directly to the NAND without
using any external tool to create and bootable AIS image.

The omapl138_lcdk header defines CONFIG_SYS_NAND_BUSWIDTH_16_BIT while
the correct name is CONFIG_SYS_NAND_BUSWIDTH_16BIT.
While renaming the only occurrence of CONFIG_SYS_NAND_BUSWIDTH_16_BIT,
let's also remove it from the config_whitelist.txt file.

have not moved them from config.h to defconfig files. This commit

We have finished Generic Board conversion for ARM and PowerPC, i.e.
all the boards have been converted except OpenRISC, SuperH, SPARC,
which have not supported Generic Board framework yet.
Select SYS_GENERIC_BOARD in arch/Kconfig and delete all the macro
defines in include/configs/*.h.

Add option to set shell prompt string from menuconfig and migrate
boards globally.
The migration is done as follows:
- Boards that explicitly and unconditionally set CONFIG_SYS_PROMPT had the
entry moved to their defconfig files.
- Boards that defined some kind of #ifdef logic which selects the
CONFIG_SYS_PROMPT (for example qemu-mips) got an #undef CONFIG_SYS_PROMPT
right before the #ifdef logic and were left alone.
- This change forces CONFIG_SYS_PROMPT to be a per board decision, and thus
CONFIG_SYS_PROMPT was removed from all <soc>_common.h and <arch>_common.h
files. This results in a streamlined default value across platforms, and
includes the following files: spear-common, sunxi-common, mv-common,
ti_armv7_common, tegra-common, at91-sama5_common, and zynq-common.
- Boards that relied on <arch/soc>_common.h values of CONFIG_SYS_PROMPT were
not updated in their respective defconfig files under the assumption that
since they did not explicitly define a value, they're fine with whatever
the default is.
- On the other hand, boards that relied on a value defined in some
<boards>_common.h file such as woodburn_common, rpi-common,
bur_am335x_common, ls2085a_common, siemens_am33x_common, and
omap3_evm_common, had their values moved to the respective defconfig files.
- The define V_PROMPT was removed, since it is not used anywhere except for
assigning a value for CONFIG_SYS_PROMPT.

Some archs/boards specify their own default by pre-defining the config
which causes the Kconfig system to mix up the order of the configs in
the defconfigs... This will cause merge pain if allowed to proliferate.
Remove the configs that behave this way from the archs.
A few configs still remain, but that is because they only exist as
defaults and do not have a proper Kconfig entry. Those appear to be:

Add defines to use CONFIG_SYS_GENERIC_BOARD and CONFIG_OF_LIBFDT.
Semi-separate to this: the size of the image for the da850evm has
increased to the point that the size in da850evm.h and the offset for
the environment in SPI flash no longer work. They are modified to
account for the larger image size.

CONFIG_CPU_ARM926EJS was introduced into Kconfig by commit 2e07c249a6
(kconfig: arm: introduce symbol for ARM CPUs).
This commit removes all the defines of CONFIG_ARM926EJS and replaces
the only reference in arch/arm/lib/cache.c with CONFIG_CPU_ARM926EJS.

Currently, CONFIG_SPL_SPI_* #defines are used for controlling SPI boot in
SPL. These #defines do not allow the user to select SPI mode for the SPI flash
(there's no CONFIG_SPL_SPI_MODE, so the SPI mode is hardcoded in
spi_spl_load.c), and duplicate information already provided by
CONFIG_SF_DEFAULT_* #defines.
Kill CONFIG_SPL_SPI_*, and use CONFIG_SF_DEFAULT_* instead.

We are about to switch to Kconfig in the next commit.
But there are something to get done beforehand.
In Kconfig, include/generated/autoconf.h defines boolean
CONFIG macros as 1.
CONFIG_SPL and CONFIG_TPL, if defined, must be set to 1.
Otherwise, when switching to Kconfig, the build log
would be sprinkled with warning messages like this:

cam_enc_4xx: convert to CONFIG_SPL_MAX_FOOTPRINT
replaced CONFIG_SPL_MAX_SIZE by CONFIG_SPL_MAX_FOOTPRINT. However,
CONFIG_SPL_MAX_SIZE is used in the Makefile for padding the SPL
when preparing an u-boot.ais image. By removing CONFIG_SPL_MAX_SIZE
said commits broke the ais image of the da850evm and cam_enc_4xx
configurations.
This patch converts the u-boot.ais target to use CONFIG_SPL_PAD_TO
instead of CONFIG_SPL_MAX_SIZE for padding the SPL and adds
a #define CONFIG_SPL_PAD_TO where it is required.

these variables are curently defined in several config files but the
driver doesn't use them and defaults to hardcoded values in
nand_defs.h
It's interesting to be able to change this hardcoded valude when the
hardware is not using the default adress signals to drive ALE and CLE
and two configuration defines already exist for this purpose so use
them.

Some small SPLs do not use nand_base.c, and a subset of those also
require a special driver. Some SPLs need software ECC but others can't
fit it.
All existing boards that specify CONFIG_SPL_NAND_SUPPORT have these
symbols added to preserve existing behavior.
